I’ve simply accepted that I’m going to own quite a few new shares. And it might be awhile before covered calls can make up the losses. Oh well. Only been seeking outs for about 4 months now. I was due for my first round of losses. Valuable lessons learned and all that.

I feel the same. I’ve lost 5 members of my family to Covid in the last year... It hurts man.

And the other day during a Zoom meeting, a coworker started complaining about being a pariah for refusing to wear masks.
I just got so angry. I nearly lost it on her... Ended up closing down the meeting windows, and sent a message to my manager apologizing for leaving early, and explaining that my internal choices were either bail out or start cursing out the anti masker in the middle of the meeting, and I chose bail.

Please show your work on this statement. I want to see two interviews conducted within the same week where Fauci “moves the goalposts”.
We all already know that you’re full of shit. But I genuinely want to know where you’re getting your shit.

I remember him saying to not hoard medical grade masks, because doctors and nurses needed them first.
At no point did he ever tell the public to not wear masks at all.
Unless you’ve got video clip of him saying that?

I would love to see actually citations of him “changing his story” and “moving the goalposts”.

His stance has consistently been to follow the science to address the issues. And the goalposts has consistently been to protect the American public from a highly infectious plague.

I was practically raised in this church.
Although, I haven’t been there in about 10 years now. The current pastor causing all the controversy is not the one I grew up with.
And it makes me very sad to see my family’s church receive such shame because of this bad preacher.

So.... Was the stage design a way for a liberal company to troll the CPAC conference? A subtle way for her to call them Nazis without calling them Nazis that was sure to go over their heads?

I’m about to blow your mind with this one simple trick for easy Rock Elemental taming. The “Look at the pretty birdie!” method.

I am very sad to hear that Alamo Draft House has declared bankruptcy. And the location near me is shutting down for good... I loved that place. They made the whole movie experience awesome. And they were just a great business member of the community. I had really hoped they would survive Covid...

Right. It seems that everyone commenting on the movie hadn’t actually watched it, and instead were simply passing judgment on the cover art.

The idea that someone else might get a helping hand that wasn’t available to them, THAT is what offends them so much. Heaven forbid that we help people! No, they didn’t get help when they were younger, so now everyone that comes after them must have it at least as bad as they did.

The only correct way (to them) to help the next generation is from parent to child. Society as a whole helping the next generation is somehow evil and scary!

Right. Some tames will harvest autonomously when you set them to wander. But most won’t. Doedicurous, gigantopithicus, and moschops are the three most useful autonomous gatherers. But they still work more efficiently with a human riding them.
Unfortunately, ankys are not autonomous.

Right. At the moment, her image is still too new and too polarized. But after all she did for Texas, I see that changing fast.
I don’t see her being viable for 2024, but maybe for 2028.
My fear is that she runs too soon, fails, and then becomes a meme-candidate for any future elections.
I want her to run at the right time and succeed!

Kids can have weird cravings. I remember one birthday when I was 7 or 8. All I wanted was grapes. And that’s what I got. Like 15 pounds of grapes. All different colors. I think that was the happiest I had ever been in my life.

Right, we see this all the time in my line of work. I’m in accounting and compliance for a nation wide non-profit housing company. We work mainly with subsidized housing communities. It is upsettingly common to hear of people in our communities that have to handicap their own success in order to keep their subsidies. The leap from being subsidized to being self sufficient is just to great a leap to make, so their only real option to remain subsidized. There is a HUD program called the FSS Program that is supposed to help address this issue. https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/public_indian_housing/programs/hcv/fss And it actually works great! (When it’s adequately funded). By encouraging our residents to sign up for this HUD programs, we are able to see them improve lives gradually. So that they can build up to becoming self sufficient. With the end goal of getting themselves off of subsidies. But at their own pace, and without being penalized in a way that forces them to chose between self improvement and housing.
Unfortunately, the program isn’t available everywhere. The implementation of it was haphazard and poorly ran. (Thanks to the previous administration.) Hopefully things can only improve going forward.

Ouch, right in the feels.
I just stumbled across this sub today. And, as much as it hurts to acknowledge it, it feels a little therapeutic to have found a group that is going through the same emotions as I am.

Dude! I went to my Gma’s house for lunch last Sunday, and she was showing off her new frying pan that she got at a yard sale for $0.50. It was a Le Cruset! I was blown away!
Like wow Gma, if you find another one, get it for me please.

No.... The take away is that Fox lies. A lot.

They lied by saying the other networks were avoiding the story. When a ridiculously quick search proved that the other networks did in fact cover the same story too.

I used to care enough for an argument like that to bother me. But after the last two elections, I just don’t anymore.
These people in red states have been voting against their own interests, and the nation’s interests, for long enough. It’s way passed time that they feel the consequences of their votes.
